Fill My Cup, Lord

I so often hesitate to hold my cup up to You for filling. Why?

Do I really think other things will quench my thirst better than You?
Do I believe the lie that I need more than You for my happiness?
Or,
Am I just too proud to acknowlege my need for Your filling?

Some days it's any one of these.  Some days its all of these. 

And then there are the times that I just revert back to the old paths....naturally.

But the happiness doesn't last....never does.

And then I remember.  Remember how You quench my thirst. Satisfy.

And then, ever so carefully, prayerfully, I lift my cup to You for the filling.
And You never disappoint.  Ever.
